Medicare Information
Medicare rebates are available with a valid GP or specialist referral.
Most psychiatric consultations attract a rebate equivalent to 85% of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) fee when privately billed. The difference between the Medicare rebate and the clinic fee is referred to as the out-of-pocket (gap) fee.
Once an individual or family reaches the threshold under the Services Australia Extended Medicare Safety Net, Medicare may reimburse up to 80% of out-of-pocket costs for eligible services for the remainder of the calendar year.
Further information is available here.
Please note:
-
Evoke Clinic is not a bulk billing practice.
-
Medicare rebates are processed after payment and returned to your nominated bank account.
-
Eligibility for rebates depends on several factors, including referral validity and Medicare criteria.
